At EchoKey, we respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our app works and how we handle your information. We designed EchoKey to keep your data secure, private, and fully within your Apple ecosystem.

Data Collection

EchoKey does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to our servers. All your transcriptions, saved notes, preferences, and app settings are securely stored on your device and optionally synced through Apple iCloud using your Apple ID.

• No analytics or advertising SDKs.
• No third-party tracking or profiling.
• No external databases or cloud servers.
• All voice transcription happens on-device.

App Permissions

Some optional features may request system-level permissions:

• Microphone – Required for voice transcription features. Audio is processed entirely on your device and never sent to external servers.
• Notifications – To remind you of saved notes and provide helpful tips.
• iCloud – To sync your saved notes and preferences privately across your Apple devices.

You can manage or revoke these permissions anytime in your device Settings.

AI Features

EchoKey integrates advanced AI models including OpenAI's Whisper for voice transcription and language models for grammar and rephrasing suggestions. These AI processes occur entirely on your device using on-device machine learning. No personal data leaves your iPhone or iPad.

For Pro users with access to larger AI models, all processing still happens locally on your device, ensuring complete privacy and security.

Saved Notes and Keyboard Data

Any notes you save in EchoKey for quick keyboard access are stored locally on your device. If you enable iCloud sync, these notes are encrypted and synced through your personal iCloud account. We never have access to this data.

Third-Party Services

EchoKey does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. Your usage of the app is completely private.

Children's Privacy

EchoKey is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us so we can remove it promptly.

Data Security

We take data security seriously. Since all your data is stored on your device and optionally in your personal iCloud account, it benefits from Apple's industry-leading security measures including end-to-end encryption.

Your Rights

Since we don't collect or store your personal data on our servers, you have complete control over your information:

• Delete the app to remove all local data
• Manage iCloud sync in your device settings
• Control app permissions in iOS Settings
